Rothys is a shoe store that aims to create sustainable, comfortable shoes using fibers from water bottles. They also create tote bags, wristlets, and other accessories using the same ideals and principles. As of April 2023, they are the world’s first shoe manufacturer to receive LEED Gold and TRUE Zero Waste Platinum certification. Additionally, they are the first factory in China to achieve LEED Zero Waste Certification.
About the Project
While this site caters to men, women, and children, I thought that the site felt sterile. It did give the feel of being a high-end product but I felt it could be a bit more woman-centric, as the majority of their product line is aimed at that demographic. I brought soft pink, navy blue, and subtle floral patterns to the site to give it a warmer feel.
